In response to the nationwide shortage of hand sanitiser products, we have re-purposed areas of our factory and filling machines to bottle large quantities of the solution into both 50ml and 100ml vessels. Manufactured by a third party in the UK, the hand sanitiser follows the WHO recommended formula, with 80% alcohol strength. We also plan to manufacture our own solution as soon as possible. Fans of Shearer candle products may recognise our popular Lemon Zest fragrance which has been added to the solution to give it a subtle and fresh zesty aroma. Commenting on the new products, Stephanie Barnet, Shearer Candles’ Head of Product Development said: “Hand Sanitiser is one of the first things our staff could not get hold of as the virus hit the UK; it's an absolutely essential tool in keeping us safe. In these unprecedented times, businesses must diversify where they can and use the tools at their disposal.”
