2017 Highlights

2017 has been a year full of excitement at Shearer Candles. Not only has it been the year of our 120th Anniversary, it has also seen new store openings, and new products and scents. Join us as we take a look back at some of our highlights of the past year.

At the beginning of the year we launched our exciting new Rhubarb & Raspberry scent, perfect for freshening up at Spring time.

In May, we renovated our Candle Store in Govan which is now a lovely haven of candles and beautiful home accessories for you to shop at your leisure.

July saw the opening of our Argyle Street pop up store in Glasgow. Set right in the heart of Glasgow's busy shopping destination, it was an exciting step for us.

We were excited to welcome visitors behind the scenes into our factory as part of Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival in September. Visitors got a chance to see the magic of what goes into making candles and meet our skilled candle-makers themselves.

We recently opened our 5th store at The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns. The opening weekend in November was a great success and this pop up store will remain open until mid January 2018.

There was excitement all around when Amazon UK came to our HQ to film for their Black Friday success stories. Amazon has played a major part in our e-commerce success, so it was great for our short film to be featured on the online retailer's website.

Our favourite time of year called for the launch of our brand new festive collections, The Christmas Couture Collection and The Christmas Fayre Collection. Featuring delicious scents of Red Apple & Cinnamon, Chocolate Yule Log and more, these collections have been flying off the shelves, so be fast if you want to get your hands on one!
