Easter is one of the largest religious celebration in Christianity. I think we all know the story but in short, Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The date of Easter changes each year, and this year Easter Sunday falls on the 8th of April 2012 Churches are filled with flowers and candles, and there are special hymns and songs. But not all Easter customs are Christian; some, such as the Easter Bunny, are pagan in origin. And as all our lovely, traditional holidays turn commercial, our special Easter celebration has not escaped. But there is still hope; not all that is out there in the market place is screaming tacky bunnies, chicks and more chocolate than you can eat in a month before it goes off!
